Walk every Day

I walk every day. Rain or shine, sleet snow it doesn’t matter, well I won’t walk when it is lightning out.

I have a little dog, George, and he needs to get out. I find so much pleasure and inspiration from my daily walks, and I miss them when I am on the road.
I know that I would not have that motivation to get out there everyday if it wasn’t for George.
This past summer I started walking around a man made thermal pond that was built to generate electricity for the new hospital that sits right beside the woods were we normally walk. And that definitely inspired me to make some new small art work.

My new series on Cat Tails and Prairie Grass were taken from these daily walks.

Walking everyday gives me topics to put into color and pattern. I love it.

I love the cat tails! I think they're what we call bulrushes or reed mace here in the UK!

You have such a beautiful area to walk in each day, and snow or not, your weather is conducive for it. I love that kind of environment. Ours is not so much, as you'd have to be armed and have had survivalist training. lol It's the sonoran desert and not only have I talked to a coyote before, thinking it was a dog (!), but a huge buzzard with a wingspan wider than my car was claiming some prey in the middle of the road a few houses down from me! No camera with me to capture either of them, darn it!

Beautiful pieces as usual. I'm glad George helps you get out to find your inspiration.
