Beautiful fabrics Frieda! My favorite gift I have given is a motorcycle to my husband that he wanted so badly. Just to see the happiness and surprise on his face was worth every penny. I forwarded your blog address to a quilting friend!
What gorgeous pictures of beautiful fabric. And how generous of you.
My favorite gift is yet to give this Christmas and I am so excited to give it to my husband- I had an artist friend do a portrait in pencil of our three kids-he has always wanted me to do it. I think it's still a surprise which is even better.
Thanks again.
You create some of the most beautiful fabrics! My favorite gift is the one I'm giving my hubby - a PS3 and a racing wheel. He'll have so much fun! I've emailed your blog address to my daughter that is just starting out in quilting. Thanks for the opportunity to enter your great giveaway!
I love your beautiful fabrics. the colors are gorgeous. My favorite gift was to Betty a friend of my sister and it was a box of art supplies which she used with some young friends for a day of creating. I will share you blog with all of my facebook friends.
I completed a quilt in time to give it to my DD and her husband for their wedding. They were thrilled.
Wonderful fabric colors. My favorite gift was a pen and ink lighthouse I drew last year. I made that, felt ornaments, and chocolate wallets and many other gifts for a stealing game at my sisters. The painting was a big hit.
I forwarded your blog link to my quilting buddy.
The fabrics are lovely. I'd love to win!
A favorite gift I have given is a hand-stitched birth wall hanging for my niece.
I would love to win some of your beautiful fabrics. My favorite gift I've give is a quilt for 3 of my long-time friends. I gave them out on Saturday, and there were tears and thanks. I received the most joy out of giving. Each of them lost their moms within the last 18 months, so I put their mother's names on the label, such as "Betty's daughter," etc. It was wonderful! I've also forwarded to your blog address to three of my quilting friends.
I am giving a lap quilt to my husband for Christmas. It's made of wonderful fabrics I fell in love with at the quilt expo in Madison. It's the first quilt that I've free motion quilted myself. I'm proud of it. Even better, I've managed to make it on days that he substitute teaches so it will be a total surprise!
My favorite gift I have given so far was a knitting tote bag and accessories for my sister. She was very surprised and uses it all the time.
Cindy
Your colors are so georgeous. What type of dye do you use. A friend and I are and have bee trying to dye with berries, leaves, and naturals. The most extrodinary thing I have given away is a handmade Christmas tree quilted skirt. I would love to know how you got such vibrant beautiful colors for your fabrics. Julia at Kentuckytinker@yahoo.com
Your colors are so beautiful. We have been trying to die with berries, leaves and naturals. What kind of dye medium are you using? The most extraordinary gift that I gave was a handmade quilted tree skirt.
Julia
Lime green is my new favorite color!
When my children were young it was a tradition to read the Polar Express to them on Christmas Eve. The first year my son was in the Marines he couldn't come home for Christmas. I sent him a copy of the Polar Express, a small tape recorder and a tape of me reading the book. He was a 19 year old Marine and it made him cry.
Gorgeous fabrics, Frieda!
My favorite Christmas gift is the stack of tiny boxes we give to our 30-year-old son each year; each one contains part of a story we tell that leads to the last box, which contains a gift of money. Last year, we did a safari theme, with cutouts from the movie "Madagascar," and he loved it.
Diane
Hi Frieda,
What a wonderful thing you are doing!
My favorite gift was a massage chair for my husband. He runs 3-4 times a week and the chair is great at the end of the day.
My favorite gift was the quilt I made my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. I used photos from their married life.
Thank you for the opportunity to win your lovely fabrics.
The favorite present I gave away was last year. My mother was very ill and was in hospitals or nursing homes for 3 months. When she finally returned home, I gave her a quilt I made. She loved it! I forwarded your blog to my quilting friends!
My favorite gift was a quilt which 3 friends and I made for our friend who was turning 50 - we conspired secretly for a year behind her back to get it done, she almost caught us once when an email went to her talking about a lunch we were having to plan the next step - she was a bit miffed that we had met without her, but we managed to talk our way out of it - all the angst was worth it when we got together for a high tea at a posh hotel to celebrate her birthdy and to present her with her gorgeous quilt - tears all round!
What wonderful fabrics! My favourite present is probably one of the toys I made for my kids. Or possibly a gift of time - I showed my 8 year old how to do fusible applique, and she is now making herself a pokemon quilt.
Everyone seems to want to receive my pad-folios. Everyone is different and so much fun to make!
Yummy! The fabrics are just plain scruptious. I have shared the blog with 2 other quilters who would love this stuff.
I love the unusual gradation! What a generous giveaway! My favorite gifts to give have been quilts. This year I made my new nephew a quilt with owls to match his nursery. I forwarded your blog address to several quilting friends!
A friend of mine is sewing up a quilt made up of vintage state hankies. I was able to find a similar vintage state hankie and am appliquing a flower girl with the state hankie as her skirt onto a pillow. I think she'll love this gift that'll match her quilt! She's also the one that I'll tell her about your blog! Thanks for the opportunity of a win!

My favourite gift was last year I bought my husband a PS3 - so now I have more time in my sewing room ROFL.
My favorite gift that I've ever given to someone...the one that comes to mind first is a hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted wall hanging that I gave my DH of 42 1/2 years, for Christmas of 2007, that I called "The Journey". He'd had several months of severe medical issues, where I had nearly lost him a couple of times. I had spent the time sitting with him working on this project as he progressed through the medical issues, in between caring for him. When I gave it to him for Christmas, it was around the time when he had recovered, and he now has it hanging in his music room.
My favorite gift I gave was Aquila for my parents with fabric from my Aunts stash after her passing, they were thrilled. I promise to email my friend Sharon about this great giveaway. Your fabrics are gorgeous.
My favorite was me and my sister getting my mother a puppy for her retirement! Forwading addy to sister!
My favorite gift was a messenger bag I made for my brother.
The best gift we gave was when my brother-in-law was laid off from his job. They couldn't afford to go from NY to ME to see their first grandbaby, so we sent tickets so they could fly in to spend Christmas with their newest family member.
All of your hand dyes are wonderful! I'm sending this to my sewing/dying buddy. Thanks.
Your fabrics are beautiful. I have given quilts as gifts to special people in my life. I love the joy I get in making and gifting them.
When I started quilting 7 years ago, my son gave me a book that was really a very complicated appliqued northwoodsy BOM. 2 years later I gave him the completed quilt! I was so proud & so was he. Your fabrics are beautiful. Thanks for the chance to win some.
There have been a few over the years- a quilt for my late MIL who wouldn't use it because it was too nice! when she went into a nursing home, I insisted that it was put on her bed. My daughter now has it in memory of her Nan........ then there was the time we gave our little grandson a bike for Xmas- we will never forget the look on his face that morning! Have a very Merry Xmas! Sandy. :)
My husband ran the torch for the Atlanta Olympics. Took me about 5 years but I finally got his shirt, certificates, pictures and pins all together, had them framed and gave the picture to him for Christmas. It was a great moment! and still is.
The best gift I have ever given was a little stamp embosser to a friend that said "From the kitchen of..." with his name on it with a fork and a spoon decoration. He loved making jams and jellies for everyone, and he embossed gold stickers to put on his jars. It was a gift that kept on giving.
Gorgeous colors!

Lovely fabrics Frieda- I think the nicest gift I ever received was my quilting sewing machine. It is a babylock and a lovely one.
Regards from Western Canada,
Anna
The best was when I was asked to make a walker bag for someone - I not only made the bag, but found out this person also used a wheelchair and hospital bed. So made a wheelchair side bag and lap quilt, a pillow for the bed and side bed pocket tuck to hold personal items (filled). Sometimes it is the 'unasked for' items that are what are really wanted.
These fabrics are to "dye" for LOL!
I make quilts for children with Leukaemia and that has to be the best gift ever. Just to read the joy these quilts give makes my day.
I'm sharing your blog with my Facebook friends.
Thanks for a wonderful give away.

A favourite present that I have given to someone must have been one of the presents I gave my now departed Mum. She was easy to buy for as I knew her taste well and I bought her lots of presents but probably my favourite would be the white chihuahua quilt I made her - 4m of fabric i bought to get 16 repetitions of a little white dog the spitting image of hers - I am still using that fabric up today and this was ten years ago!

My favorite gift is the Super Soaker squirt gun I gave my mom. It was a huge squirt gun and her face lit up just like a little kids! It was so sweet.
Your fabric as always is gorgeous! One of my favourite gifts was a "Memory Quilt" for my parents the year of their 50th (they've now been married 61 yrs!) and at 1st thought it would be an anniv. gift but did a funny slide show for that occasion - and saved the quilt for Christmas! My favorite gifts that I have given have always been ones that the person didn't know it was from me. A friend has issues when switching phone companies, the family was already living on food from a local food donation pantry, so having any more expenses was just too much, so I mailed them a money order for $100.... I didn't leave anything on the envelope to identify me and as far as I know, they never figured it out.

Don't belong to any quilt guild, and the people I do know that quilt, I don't know their email addresses from.....
I gave my husband a quilt, designed based on his favorite knife handles. It was kind of bargello, with 12 contrary wife blocks, too, since we had a nice system where I got to go shopping for fabric whenever he bought a new knife, or there would be trouble. The best part of giving that quilt was his silence when he opened it- without saying anything, he rushed back to our bedroom and put in on his side of the bed, then proclaimed it, "Awesome." For a man to love a quilt that much means he appreciated all the time and love I put into it.
My favorite gift that I have given is a hand appliqued and hand quilted quilt that I gave to my son and his wife.
