Little Duluth Trees

Someone asked what size these little quilts are. Most of them are 8.5" x 11", Tiny Autumn Mums was 16" x 12". But if you keep them small you can also find premade frames to put them in like I did with "Little Duluth Trees"

What a great idea, and that way I could have quilts in the kitchen that wouldn't end up covered in dust with food smells and such, this is a great idea!

So beautiful and serene, love the simplicity in your quilts and the colors. Framing is a good idea for small quilts and make wonderful gifts that are do-able for friends or family members who know you quilt and are waiting for a "gift".

How do you frame your quilts? Do you use acid free materials and stitch the quilt to the mat? Are there spacers between the quilt and the glass? Am really curious as I would love to frame some of my miniatures and am not quite sure how to do it.

Frieda -- Your little works are beautiful AND inspirational -- I'm heading into my sewing room to try some tomorrow! I just ordered some of your Winter Weather fabric, and I can't wait to use it. May I add your blog to mine as one of my favorites? Many thanks.

Oh, my this is wonderful. I am new to this blogging and quilting. I am finding I could spend days looking at sites with art quilts. What great inspiration. Thanks for sharing

I love the look of framed textile work. I framed my little postcards and rotate them as the whim moves me. Your trees are beautiful!
