SunDance

The newest issue of Quilting Arts is on the stands and that's my quilt SUN DANCE on the cover. Inside is the first installment of a two part article on machine quilting. Of course it is ideal if you can take a class from me on machine quilting, it is always easier to learn by doing then by reading, but this is a close runner up. Inside are samples of quilting designs and step by step directions to help you be a better machine quilter. Enjoy!

On a more somber note, my husband Brett is going in for surgery today. This fall after his annual (every ten years) physical his doctor told him to get out and get more exercise - other than golf four times a week from spring to fall. So he started playing racket ball again. Last Tuesday in the sixth and final set of a heated game, he said it felt like someone had hit him with a bat in the back of his right calf. Needless to say he blow out his Achilles tendon. So today he goes in to have Achilles tendon repair. The really sad part is, now he can't go on his golf trip to Phoenix next month. It must really suck to get old!

Congratulations on the article. I just read it yesterday and it is very good.

Sorry to hear about your husband. It sounds like you might be waiting on him for awhile.

I was so excited to see that Stephanie reported on your cover. I went directly to the blog and it wasn't up yet. Now you have it and it looks FANTASTIC.
Congratulations on your continued success, and poor poor Brett. I feel so sorry for his little self.

Freida,
I got the magazine and immediately read your article. SO NICE. It reminded me when you were here teaching in Evansville. Congrats to you on getting on the cover.
Tell your husband to hang in there and do the rehab.
We are getting together in the spring to dye at my house again if your bored come on down. Bren
