I have just returned from a teaching trip to Moline IL, which is on the border of Iowa at the Mississippi River. I had a great time and my hostess Patti made sure I got out and saw the area. That doesn't always happen. I loved the area.
I love to take pictures while I am driving, a little dangerous yes, but I love the landscape I see as it flys by. I get much inspiration from these landscapes.
That is how Illinois Landscape was conceived.

Oh, what pretty shots of the landscape!
Memories! I taught there years and years ago!
That is SO Illinois! I moved here almost four years ago now, and still marvel at the miles after miles of corn in this state.
the quilt is wonderful. very midwest "plains", rolling low hills.
I do the same thing in rural Wisconsin on the roads less traveled. I does help to be in an area of Illinois with very light traffic. Drive safely
Great pictures, and a wonderful quilt. I love it!
I don't get out to western IL too often, but the landscape there always surprises me. It's so flat! So different from the rolling hills here in WI. My Chicago-born husband always laughs at my amazement when we drive around DeKalb...
