Home at last
I am so happy to be home. I have literally been on the road since early September, it is all a happy blur and now I am in my jammies drinking coffee and sitting at my own computer. YEA
I had a fantastic week long trip through Ohio, teaching classes for some great quilt groups. The Quisessential Quilters of Columbus, Memory (merry) Makers of Hudson and the KISS, keep it simple stitchers, of Copley. Very fun woman out there in Ohio and beautiful scenery.
My husband flew into Akron and we drove the rest of the way to Scranton PA for a baby shower for our son and daughter –in-law. It was a fantastic trip.

Houston Booth

Galesburg IL workshop
Penny was in my workshops in Galesburg IL and just sent me her finished project. The class was “Laughing Leaves”. Penny decided to make hers less representational and more abstract.
Love it!!
In this class we use one 1/2 yard of my bright rainbow multi colored yardage and then each student gets to pick two additional 1/4 yard multi dyed pieces of fabric to compliment their work. I think most of this was made using the main 1/2 yard of multi strip and an additional blackened 1/4 yard of gradation from green to purple.
This is her large piece, about 14” x 16”
And this is her small piece made with leftover fused scraps. I am guessing about 6” x 6”.
